The Board of Directors of the Spanish Business Confederation of Social Economy, CEPES has agreed at its meeting held yesterday to incorporate the Association of Social Economy of Aragon (CEPES Aragon) as a full partner. Through nine partner organizations, it represents the interests of 625 companies and employs more than 20,000 people. More than 400,000 Aragonese is linked to companies and entities of the Social Economy

This is one of the main conclusions of the study 'The social economy as an engine of employment for people with disabilities', prepared by the ONCE Foundation and the Spanish Business Confederation of Social Economy (CEPES), with co-financing from the European Social Fund and presented today at the Hall of the Territorial Delegation of ONCE, in collaboration with CEPES-Aragon.

This was revealed in the act of posing CEPES ARAGON, umbrella organization of social economy organizations present in this community (cooperatives, worker-owned companies, enterprises insertion, Special Employment Centres, industry associations disability and entities Third Sector). All of them represent 3.05% of GDP Aragonese

This emerges from the latest data provided by CEPES. Aragon, Catalonia, Extremadura and Murcia lead job creation in Social Economy (mainly cooperatives) in the second quarter of 2013 with the creation of the four communities of 5,778 jobs
