Leire Mugerza Garate, Fourth Vice-President of CEPES, has been appointed as a member of the Economic and Social Council (ESC) representing the social economy sector. This has been reflected in the BOE published today, which includes this appointment at the proposal of the second vice president and Minister of Labor and Social Economy, Yolanda Díaz, after deliberation of the Council of Ministers on Tuesday. With this incorporation in the CES, the representatives of CEPES in this body are, Juan Antonio Pedreño, Jerónima Bonafé, Emili Villaescusa and the newly appointed, Leire Muguerza.

The Spanish Business Confederation of the Social Economy showed on Wednesday the strength of this business model during the celebration of its XXX General Assembly. This was evident during this event, which was held at the Beatriz Auditorium in Madrid with more than 150 attendees from the field of social economy, personalities from politics, the economy and civil society. The day had the interventions, in addition to the president of the entity, Juan Antonio Pedreño; the second vice president and Minister of Labor and Social Economy, Yolanda Díaz, who participated via telematics; the General Director of Autonomous Work, Social Economy and Corporate Social Responsibility, Maravillas Espín; and the President of the Economic and Social Council (ESC), Antón Costas.

Madrid, January 27, 2022.- The president of the Spanish Business Confederation of the Social Economy (CEPES), Juan Antonio Pedreño, insisted this Thursday that "the social economy is a guarantee of distribution of the funds of the Recovery Plan , Transformation and Resilience”. This was done during his speech at the day of debate on this Plan organized in blended form by the Economic and Social Council of Spain and the European Economic and Social Committee.

More than 400 people from all over Spain followed yesterday the Conference held in Madrid at the headquarters of the Economic and Social Council (CES) addressed to companies and entities of the Social Economy, technicians of Public Administrations, political representatives and public management positions. During its celebration, the president of CEPES announced the strategy of dissemination and communication of CEPES for the coming months in the field of public procurement to facilitate the participation of social economy companies.

The conference will be held in Madrid at the headquarters of the Economic and Social Council (CES) on Thursday, January 25, 2018, addressed to companies and entities of the Social Economy, technicians of Public Administrations, political representatives and public management positions. It will have the presence of experts from the Public Administrations, Universities and the Social Economy

It will be held on December 4 in the Economic and Social Council and will aim to meet the measures that the European Institutions will drive the next five years in the Social Economy. Involving senior representatives of the Community institutions, the Spanish Government, European governments and industry representatives of Socia Economy

CEPES all exposed sector priorities within the framework of the Conference 'Perspectives and Priorities for the new Commission and the European Parliament: The social economy and social innovation as drivers of competitiveness, growth and social welfare', organized by the European Economic and Social Council in Brussels
