CEPES, welcomes the modification of Law 5/2011, of March 29, on Social Economy, which allows the use of capitalization for unemployment in the incorporation as partners to cooperatives and labor societies. This modification, which is included through the third final provision of Royal Decree-Law 1/2023, of January 10, on urgent measures regarding incentives for hiring labor and improvement of the social protection of artistic people, published this Wednesday in the BOE, improves and expands the effectiveness of the single payment of unemployment benefit as a source of financing for incorporation as partners to cooperatives and labor societies.

CEPES in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy, held the international event organized this Thursday to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the approval of the Spanish Social Economy Law, which was attended by more than 500 people from 4 continents. During the same he valued the socio-economic impact of Spanish social economy companies after the approval of this law in 2011 unanimously by the parliamentary arc, and also the power of this business model at the international level.

CEPES, with the collaboration of the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy, will bring together in Madrid the highest political representatives at the state, regional and international level responsible for the promotion of this business model since the spanish Social Economy Law (Law 5/2011 on Social Economy) was approved in March 2011, a pioneer in the international arena and which was unanimously approved in the Congress of Deputies

CEPES has met with the Second Vice President of the Government and Minister of Labor and Social Economy, Yolanda Díaz, to analyze the Labor Reform in Social Economy companies, as well as the aspects that concern the entity in this regard and that have not been included in the new legislation. In the meeting that has been "positive and constructive", a roadmap has been established that establishes technical meetings with the affected groups and modifications of some regulations, such as the Law of Insertion Companies, the Law of Cooperatives or the Law of Economy Social.
