Given the forecast of a drop of more than 7% of the GDP of the largest European economies announced by the IMF, Juan Antonio Pedreño, president of the Spanish Business Confederation of the Social Economy and of 'Social Economy Europe', asks the EU for strategic investments unprecedented and measures that include the Social Economy and all business actors to overcome this crisis. To this end, an open Open Letter has been sent to the Presidencies of the Commission, the Council and the European Parliament.

The president of CEPES, Juan Antonio Pedreño, closed important commitments that may materialize in the next Government, such as strengthening the Spanish Social Economy Strategy, providing it with greater and necessary resources, and approving an Institutional Participation Law that allows the Social Economy to occupy a preferential place in public policies.

CEPES and the Vicente Ferrer Foundation have signed a collaboration agreement on development cooperation in order to promote and implement joint actions to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals in third countries. Both entities want to express through this agreement their commitment to building a fairer society that generates better and greater opportunities for all people, especially in third countries.
