CEPES presents the third edition of the Study "Analysis of the Socio-Economic Impact of the Values and Principles of the Social Economy in Spain". Its aim is to make visible and quantify the differential contribution that the Social Economy makes to society as a whole, measuring its impact on employment and territorial cohesion. Its data are official and are extracted from the Continuous Sample of Working Lives. Its methodological development is widely supported by the scientific community and has been published by the United Nations and the OECD. This study has been co-financed by CEPES, Ministry of Labour and Social Economy and CAJAMAR.

The Spanish Business Confederation of the Social Economy (CEPES), has presented in Spain the European Action Plan on Social Economy. Specifically, he has transferred how the more than 50 measures of this plan, launched by the European institutions, can be transposed for execution in Spain. He did so this Thursday at an event, attended by almost 250 people from different countries and held in a hybrid way at the Bertelsmann Space in Madrid, with the support of the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy and in collaboration with the European Commission, Social Economy Europe and different regional governments, under the slogan 'The European Union's commitment to an economy at the service of people and the planet'.

The Spanish Business Confederation of the Social Economy (CEPES), urges companies and social economy organizations to apply for the aid convened today by the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy, endowed with 99.3 million euros, whose purpose is to promote innovative social economy projects for the years 2022 and 2023. These grants correspond to the Integrated Plan for the Promotion of the Social Economy, whose regulatory bases have been published this morning in the BOE, within the framework of the PERTE of Social Economy and the Care of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.

The Employers of the Social Economy (CEPES) showed its disagreement in the Council for the Promotion of the Social Economy, held on November 28, before the draft law of the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy that regulates incentives for hiring labor and other measures to promote and maintain stable and quality employment, for repealing part of the existing incentives for hiring people with disabilities. The new legislation has been designed to jeopardize many special employment centers of social initiative and tens of thousands of jobs for people with disabilities.

CEPES expresses its satisfaction with the leadership of the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy and the initiative of the Government of Spain at the event held at the United Nations headquarters last Friday in which the bases were laid to promote the first UN resolution on Social Economy. The event, called 'Contribution of the Social and Solidarity Economy to the SDGs and potential of a resolution of the UN General Assembly on Social Economy', was organized by the Government of Spain with the support of the ILO (International Labour Organization), UNCTAD (United Nations Conference on Trade and Development) and the United Nations Inter-Agency Working Group on Social and Solidarity Economy

CEPES in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy, held the international event organized this Thursday to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the approval of the Spanish Social Economy Law, which was attended by more than 500 people from 4 continents. During the same he valued the socio-economic impact of Spanish social economy companies after the approval of this law in 2011 unanimously by the parliamentary arc, and also the power of this business model at the international level.

CEPES, with the collaboration of the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy, will bring together in Madrid the highest political representatives at the state, regional and international level responsible for the promotion of this business model since the spanish Social Economy Law (Law 5/2011 on Social Economy) was approved in March 2011, a pioneer in the international arena and which was unanimously approved in the Congress of Deputies

CEPES has led this week the second international event of the international project “Legal Ecosystems for Social Economy- Peer Learning Partnership (PL4SE – PLP)”. This initiative aims to promote favourable legal frameworks for Social Economy. The meeting was attended by representatives of the 25 consortium partners from 3 continents involved in this project, which is supported by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and funded by the European Union. On this occasion, the consortium analysed and discussed the legal frameworks that regulate the different entities in the Social Economy.

Yesterday, CEPES organized a Conference to make visible the results of the Studies that CEPES and its partners COCETA, LABORPAR, FAEDEI and REAS have developed in 2020 with funding from FUNDAE, SEPE and the Ministry of Labor and Economy Social, within the framework of the Plan to Promote vocational training for the Social Economy and the Self-Employed, which was presented on November 18 by Minister Díaz. At the conference, senior officials from the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy were present, who verified that the Social Economy is in the Roadmap of the Future Employment Law and other Strategies that the Ministry is finalizing.

The CEPES Board of Directors, as Intermediate Body of the 'Operational Program for Social Inclusion and Social Economy 2014-2020' co-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF), has approved 23 new projects and expanded the endowment of another 30 for 3,076 .892.31 euros additionally awarded by the Administrative Unit of the European Social Fund in Spain, located in the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy. This resolution modifies the one approved on March 25, 2021 and includes the additional allocation of said funds for social inclusion.

CEPES celebrates the renewal of the Council for the Promotion of the Social Economy, which was approved yesterday by the Council of Ministers and has been published today in the BOE through Royal Decree 117/2021. With this approval, the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy unblocks this Council, which has been inactive for 10 years and provides a solution to CEPES 'historic claim. This Council is one of the most important organs of dialogue with the Government in the Social Economy sector, which comes at an excellent moment due to the strong involvement of the Government of Spain and the Community Institutions towards this business model.

Today the four representatives of CEPES have taken office in the Economic and Social Council, a consultative body attached to the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy whose objective is to advise the Government on socio-economic and labor matters. Juan Antonio Pedreño, Javier Goienetxea, Jerónima Bonafe and Emili Villaescusa will be the CEPES representatives in the Economic and Social Council, assigned to the Third Group. From their new positions, they will work to bring the concerns, proposals and perspectives of the Social Economy closer to the Opinions and Reports on their own initiative of the CES for this new period that is beginning.

CEPES has presented today two studies thanks to the support of the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy, FUNDAE and SEPE: 'Analysis of the digital transformation of training for the Social Economy' and “Approach of Young People to the Social Economy, as an opportunity access to the labor market ”act was presented by the president of CEPES; Juan Antonio Pedreño, and counted on the participation of the managing director of FUNDAE, Antonio de Luis; the general director of Autonomous Work, Social Economy and Corporate Social Responsibility, Maravillas Espín; and the general director of SEPE, Gerardo Gutiérrez. Training will be one of the pillars of reconstruction according to the Plan to Promote Vocational Training in Self-Employed Work and the Social Economy approved by the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy. CEPES is one of the protagonists of this Plan that consolidates and articulates the incorporation of representative entities of the Social Economy into the Vocational Training for employment system. Thanks to the support of FUNDAE, CEPES has launched the Campaign "Follow in the footsteps of the Social Economy, the company of the future" and is also developing three ambitious studies that aim to anticipate the training needs of workers in the Social Economy and establish the foundations of a global transformation, led by modernization, digitization, driven in turn by advances in artificial intelligence and robotics.

The president of CEPES, Juan Antonio Pedreño, participated in the meeting called yesterday by Minister Yolanda Diaz, who unveiled the roadmap of the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy on Social Economy, Self-Employed and Social Responsibility. The Minister announced that work will begin immediately on three key State Strategies for the “reconstruction of the country”, the Social Economy with a time horizon of 2027, the Self-Employed Work Strategy and the Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy. In addition, the Consultative Councils for the Promotion of the Social Economy, the Self-Employed and the CSR will be launched to adapt them to the current reality.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Economy and the Spanish Business Confederation of Social Economy (CEPES) held their second meeting of the "Table of the Social Economy", established on May 14. In this meeting, of a technical nature, doubts about ERTES and cessations of activity in Social Economy companies were resolved, as well as transferring some approaches to the Director General of Autonomous Work, Social Economy and CSR, Maravillas Espín and the Director General of Work , Verónica Martínez. The Ministry of Labor and Social Economy and CEPES gave the green light to the "Table of Social Economy", set up yesterday with the presence of the Minister of Labor and Social Economy, Yolanda Díaz; the General Director of Autonomous Work, Social Economy and CSR, Maravillas Espín; the president of CEPES, Juan Antonio Pedreño, and a delegation from the Board of Directors of the employers of the Social Economy. The "Social Economy Roundtable" is created as a tool to contribute to the Social Dialogue of Government and social agents, contributing to the demands of the Social Economy sector in the short, medium and long term for the recovery of employment and for reindustrialization, in addition that it will make visible and promote the key role that Social Economy Companies have in the economic recovery.
