The Spanish Business Confederation of the Social Economy (CEPES), urges companies and social economy organizations to apply for the aid convened today by the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy, endowed with 99.3 million euros, whose purpose is to promote innovative social economy projects for the years 2022 and 2023. These grants correspond to the Integrated Plan for the Promotion of the Social Economy, whose regulatory bases have been published this morning in the BOE, within the framework of the PERTE of Social Economy and the Care of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.

CEPES celebrates the PERTE of the Social Economy and Care, which has been presented this Friday by the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez. According to the estimates of the employers of the Social Economy, this PERTE will increase the weight of this business model in GDP one point, going from the current 10% to 11%.

CEPES in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy, held the international event organized this Thursday to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the approval of the Spanish Social Economy Law, which was attended by more than 500 people from 4 continents. During the same he valued the socio-economic impact of Spanish social economy companies after the approval of this law in 2011 unanimously by the parliamentary arc, and also the power of this business model at the international level.

CEPES launches a Next Generation Technical Office, whose objective is to facilitate access to the Next Generation funds, articulated in the Recovery and Resilience Plan of the European Union, to the more than 43,000 entities and companies of the Social Economy of Spain and linked to the associative fabric of CEPES. This Office is a strategic commitment of CEPES that will also be of great help to operationalize the PERTE of the Social Economy and Care Economy, whose approval will be imminent.

The OECD held last 20 May an online conference that brought together the six leaders of the consortia chosen by this international Organization, which will develop projects to promote Social Economy ecosystems in key strategic areas. The six projects that will run from April to October involve 136 partners from 30 countries and are funded by the European Union. The project led by CEPES focuses on promoting favorable legal frameworks to the Social Economy at a global level by a consortium of 25 organizations such as national and ministerial public departments, local and regional governments and Social Economy entities from a large diversity countries od three continents.

“CEPES, with the support of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and funding of the European Union, has launched the project “LEGAL ECOSYSTEMS FOR SOCIAL ECONOMY - PEER LEARNING PARTNERSHIP”, a project that aims to promote laws and regulations for Social Economy enterprises. This project involves an international consortium of 26 organizations made up of national and ministerial public departments responsible for Social Economy in seven countries on three continents (Brazil, Canada, Korea, India, Italy, Italy, Mexico and Spain), social economy stakeholders and representative organisations as well as university experts”.
