CEPES appreciates the instruments adopted by the ILO and the OECD to develop social economy enterprises at a global level
CEPES welcomes the adoption by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) of a Resolution and a Recommendation, respectively, to promote the social economy at the international level in coordination with the governments of its member countries. The ILO Resolution, which addresses the role of the Social Economy in promoting decent work, was adopted during the plenary session of the International Labour Conference in which representatives of the 187 governments that compose it participated together with representatives of trade unions and employers. The OECD Recommendation was adopted by the Council of Ministers of its 34 Member States, and calls on countries to develop ecosystems favourable to the social economy through the design of enabling legal frameworks and to facilitate access to finance;
