The Employers of the Social Economy (CEPES) showed its disagreement in the Council for the Promotion of the Social Economy, held on November 28, before the draft law of the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy that regulates incentives for hiring labor and other measures to promote and maintain stable and quality employment, for repealing part of the existing incentives for hiring people with disabilities. The new legislation has been designed to jeopardize many special employment centers of social initiative and tens of thousands of jobs for people with disabilities.

CEPES and its entire associative fabric adhere to the commemoration of the International Women's Day of the UN, which this year 2022 is celebrated under the slogan 'Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow'. Thus, the employers of the Social Economy show its strong commitment to the promotion of equality and women's rights, as well as its rejection of any situation of violence or discrimination.

CEPES expresses its satisfaction with the reactivation of the State Council for the Promotion of the Social Economy, which was established last Friday in response to a historic claim by CEPES, after more than eleven years without meeting. The Council is a key channel of dialogue with the Government, one of the most important that the social economy has, since it allows the focus to be placed on issues of maximum interest to the sector. This first meeting has laid the foundations for collaboration, coordination and dialogue between the social economy and the General State Administration and an intense roadmap has been established.

The CEPES Board of Directors, as Intermediate Body of the 'Operational Program for Social Inclusion and Social Economy 2014-2020' co-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF), has approved 23 new projects and expanded the endowment of another 30 for 3,076 .892.31 euros additionally awarded by the Administrative Unit of the European Social Fund in Spain, located in the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy. This resolution modifies the one approved on March 25, 2021 and includes the additional allocation of said funds for social inclusion.

CEPES adheres to the UN International Women's Day 2021 commemoration, and highlights its strong commitment to promoting equality and women's rights, as well as its rejection of any situation of violence or discrimination. Under the slogan "Women leaders: for an equal future in the world of Covid-19 with a view to the Generation Equality Forum", this year the international organization wants to celebrate the enormous efforts made by women and girls around the world when it comes to define a more egalitarian future and recovery from the Covid pandemic.

CEPES celebrates the renewal of the Council for the Promotion of the Social Economy, which was approved yesterday by the Council of Ministers and has been published today in the BOE through Royal Decree 117/2021. With this approval, the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy unblocks this Council, which has been inactive for 10 years and provides a solution to CEPES 'historic claim. This Council is one of the most important organs of dialogue with the Government in the Social Economy sector, which comes at an excellent moment due to the strong involvement of the Government of Spain and the Community Institutions towards this business model.

The president of CEPES, Juan Antonio Pedreño, participated in the meeting called yesterday by Minister Yolanda Diaz, who unveiled the roadmap of the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy on Social Economy, Self-Employed and Social Responsibility. The Minister announced that work will begin immediately on three key State Strategies for the “reconstruction of the country”, the Social Economy with a time horizon of 2027, the Self-Employed Work Strategy and the Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy. In addition, the Consultative Councils for the Promotion of the Social Economy, the Self-Employed and the CSR will be launched to adapt them to the current reality.

On the occasion of International Women's Day, CEPES not only adheres to the celebration of International Women's Day and reaffirms its commitment to equal rights between men and women and the elimination of any type of discrimination and violence, but also wishes make visible the role that women play in Social Economy companies, which work day by day to move towards full compliance with the gender equality objectives approved by the United Nations in the 2030 Agenda.

The ESMED network, an entity that coordinates CEPES since 2000, shows its support for the call of the Ministries responsible for employment of the 43 States of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) in favor of the creation of a Euro-Mediterranean ecosystem favorable to the social economy that unleashes the potential of these companies and entities, as reflected in the final declaration of the Ministerial Conference on Employment and Labor of Cascais (Portugal) on April 2 and 3, 2019.

CEPES, Cooperativa de las Américas, CICOPA América and AMA have sent a manifesto to the Summit of Heads of State that meets these days in Guatemala to help build a prosperous, inclusive and sustainable Ibero-America through the promotion of the Social Economy.

CEPES has published the first Guide that focuses its content on the promotion of public procurement with companies and entities of the Social Economy, and that is made following the guidelines of the new Public Sector Contracts Law, after its entry into force last month of March. The "Guide" has been developed with a practical and direct approach. It includes an analysis of the possibilities offered by the new legal framework and resolves the most common doubts in the bids. In addition, it incorporates, as a proposal, models of clauses that can be incorporated into public procurement documents with full legal guarantees.

CEPES, with funding from the Ministry of Employment and Social Security and the collaboration of the consulting firm Economic Analysts Abay has prepared the study "Promoting the presence of Social Economy in technology-based entrepreneurship." The study shows that emerging economic sectors linked to ICTs show an important growth projection, being a key niche venture from the Social Economy
