Today, a meeting was held between Juan Antonio Pedreño, president of the Spanish Business Confederation of the Social Economy and the journalist Manuel Campo Vidal, of Next Educación. The interview has revolved around "The Social Economy to the Rescue of the Crisis"

The Spanish Business Confederation of Social Economy (CEPES) has prepared, together with its 27 partners and its associated companies, a report showing the actions and initiatives carried out by 383 companies of this business model and their actions before Covid-19. The sample includes companies of all sizes, from large companies, to SMEs to small businesses present in all economic sectors.

CEPES thanks and shows its solidarity with all the professionals and companies involved in the fight against the covid-19 coronavirus. We support the measures taken to help minimize the risks and elimination of the Coronavirus. We appeal to the responsibility of all citizens to alleviate contagion as soon as possible so that the economic effects are also minimized.

During the two-day event, CEPES outlined some of the development cooperation projects implemented by its partners in the 27 member countries where the social economy operates.

The event will aim to become the meeting point of different sectors involved in development cooperation.

According to the President of Murcia, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, it is necessary to promote, support and consolidate the governments from such companies, which serve to keep alive the hope that it is possible to create quality jobs, and also to find basic principles of democracy and solidarity .
