This is one of the main conclusions of the study 'The social economy as an engine of employment for people with disabilities' Prepared by the ONCE Foundation and the Spanish Business Confederation of Social Economy (CEPES), with co-financing from the European Social Fund and presented today at the Hall of the Territorial Delegation of ONCE, in collaboration with CEPES-Aragon.
The event was attended by the territorial delegate of ONCE in Aragon, Ignacio Escanero; the territorial director of FSC Inserts in Aragon, Lorena Basols and President of CEPES-Aragon, Felipe Gomez.

One of the main conclusions of the study at the state level is that companies and entities of the Social Economy incorporate "a much higher percentage" of people with disabilities in their workforce (6.2% of workers) compared with the rest of trading companies (1.7%).
An important variable in hiring people with disabilities in the Social Economy is the size of the companies, Since the percentage of workers with disabilities is higher in those large on the medium (9.3% and 2.2% respectively).
