During the10 and 12 November was held at the fairgrounds in Valladolid, the First Meeting of Solidarity Projects organized by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECI). This event is part of the program to accompany the Global Microcredit Summit to be held the week after also in Valladolid.
The social economy has been managed from 1998 to 2010 more than 20 million euros in development cooperation projects, more than 6 million co-financing with equity.
The projects presented confirm the commitment of the Social Economy enterprises in the fight against poverty betting on job creation and improved social conditions in developing countries.
In this meeting CEPES will have a booth in which to display the experience of social economy enterprises in development cooperation, with an exhibition of 10 projects undertaken from different organizations Sector
The aim of the show will become the meeting point of different microcredit organizations that manage and undertake development cooperation projects, becoming a benchmark in the exchange of information, new opportunities and projects.
Among the highlights of the meeting are conducting a program of technical seminars for professionals and a series of fun activities where the character is the general public.
The event organizers intend to provide a good number of visitors that go from managers and communication managers of companies and institutions involved in the field of development cooperation, financial institutions and to students from different schools and institutes the city.
At the stand of the social economy will be discussed development cooperation projects, thanks to the involvement and cooperation of the following organizations:COCETA-Asata, tealight (FAEDEI related entity), ASCES, ASESCAN (COCETA member and CONFESAL) CONFESAL, FEVES (CONFESAL member) FESALC (CONFESAL member) MUNDUKIDE FUNDAZIOA, linked to the Mondragón Corporation, Andalusian School Foundation Social Economy CEPES-Andalusia linked to and UCOMUR-UCOERM (COCETA member and UECOE) development.
CEPES president, Juan Antonio PedrozaApplauds this initiative as it will raise awareness for the important contribution of microcredit as an essential tool for generating viable projects that generate wealth and employment in countries with high poverty levels.
This meeting will be the prelude to the Global Microcredit Summit to be held in Valladolid, whose organizer is Result Found Educational whose main objective is to create sustainable institutions from the financial standpoint, in addition to promoting microcredit as a tool for development .
