The Employer of the Social Economy Fatima Banez a series of measures that could create 200,000 jobs

The creation of these jobs would take place over the next four years. The law of the entrepreneur, the enhancement of employment, the international year of the cooperative and labor reform were the key points discussed at the meeting.

(Madrid, 20 February 2012). The President of the Spanish Business Confederation of Social Economy (CEPES), Juan Antonio Pedreño, today introduced to Fátima Bánez in the Ministry of Employment and Social Security a series of measures for the creation of 200.000 jobs over the next four years.

During this first meeting between the Minister for Employment and Social Security and the President of the Social Economy Employers also addressed other issues such as the Law of the entrepreneur, the promotion of employment, the International Year of the cooperative and the recently passed labor reform.

Also during the meeting took the first steps toward creating a program to promote the social economy organizations, in order to give substance to the fourth and seventh additional provision of the Social Economy Law 5/2011.

Juan Antonio Pedreño revealed to the Minister the "Herculean effort" being made "?"?by such entities for creating and maintaining employment. All thanks to the flexibility, wage moderation, stability and quality of work, pillars on which to settle the social economy enterprises,especially as the social economy entrepreneurs who have an employment rate of 80% fixed are themselves partners and employees that make the companies in this sector in a unique business model, which is concerned with working conditions company, as the worker.

Aspects covered in the recently passed labor reform, and as the Chairman of CEPES "social economy has been performing over 170 years". But Juan Antonio Pedreño pointed out the need to collect in the parliamentary process of labor reform in a number of measures which indicate the important role played by companies working in the new scenario.

The event also has materialized the need to generate a series of systematic mechanisms for collaboration between CEPES and the Ministry of Employment to work in this set of reforms, in particular from CEPES has proposed a pact for employment in the Social Economy.

At this meeting the Ministry of Employment and Social Security has also emphasized its support for the activities carried out in Spain within the framework of the International Year of Cooperatives proclaimed by the United Nations in the exercise of this course.

From CEPES also recalled that within the global Cooperatives are framed over 1000 million workers and 100 million people have opted for this form of enterprise to develop its use.

The Cooperative is a business movement in which its 300 larger firms billed $ 1.6 trillion a year, making it the ninth world economy.

CEPESis the largest institution representing the Social Economy in Spain, becoming a platform for institutional dialogue with the authorities. Its 29 members represent the interests of 45,093 businesses represented 12.5% "?"?of employment and with a turnover exceeding 10% of GDP. Its members, with over 200 regional structures are national or regional organizations and business groups representing the interests of Cooperatives, Labour, Mutual, Business Integration, Special Employment Centres, industry associations of disability and Guilds of fishermen .
