The Board of Directors of the Spanish Business Confederation of Social Economy (CEPES) approved at its last meeting to accept the invitation of the BEQUAL Foundation to form its Board of trustees, as this initiative fits into the strategic line of CEPES to promote Corporate Social Responsibility policy.
BEQUAL Foundation has been lodged by the CERMI, FEACEM, ONCE Foundation and the Foundation Seeliger y Conde, aiming to manage a seal certifying and distinguishes socially responsible companies to disability. These organizations will work to promote social inclusion of people with disabilities through the development and promotion of standards certifiable social inclusion of disability policy in business management.
The objective of this initiative is to identify and to value the commitment and effort of those companies that have incorporated business policies that favor the inclusion of people with disabilities as workers, consumers and users of services.
The seal BEQUAL present three levels of assessment, depending on the degree of development of disability policies in companies and certify compliance with the Law on Social Integration of the Disabled (LISMI) employment. This certification, legitimized by the associations of disability Spain, built in CEPES becomes the main reference market Corporate Social Responsibility and Disability (CSR & D).
