  •   CEPES believes that these meetings should be involved, in addition to the Social Economy, the Self, since they are jointly contributing to the generation and maintenance of employment

Juan Antonio Pedreño, CEPES president, said that "the difficult economic situation makes it necessary that this is a good time to start new things and engage in these negotiations to the Social Economy and all socio-economic actors involved in the generation employment ".

At this time, the economic reality is framed entrepreneurially into two sectors, the Social Economy and the Self, since they are the main sources of employment creation and maintenance of sustainable and quality.

This business model throughout its history-and especially-in times of economic recession, has demonstrated its ability to generate and sustain jobs. Companies are very different, implemented in all sectors, with different sizes, very attached to the territory and promote social cohesion.

CEPES wants to remind the Prime Minister that the social economy represents the interests of nearly 44,000 companies, present in all economic sectors and of all sizes, and 12.5% "?"?of employment, and a turnover of around 7.5% of GDP.Data supporting another way of doing business.

CEPES President said that "if we have learned anything in the current economic cycle, is that companies must adapt to a new model that is socially responsible and sustainable."

"The Social Economy in its essence it is," he added, "and, for that, you need a new drive and promotion of all business models operating in the market. Maintaining employment and closing businesses are the main challenges that CEPES is working, "said Pedreño.

To achieve these goals, from CEPES have proposed a number of measures to the different political and executive, whose main objective is not to destroy or a job more and prevent the closure of companies.

The main proposals are:

  • Solving the problems of business finance and expedite legislation
  • Increase the competitiveness of enterprises, creating stimulus measures that strengthen emerging sectors

  • Promote fusion and integration of companies
  • Promote the creation of new social economy enterprises providing services, especially local services, encouraging their participation in the award of public contracts
  • Encourage the conversion of companies that are in crisis in social economy enterprises
  • Developing the Social Economy Act in its entirety

Finally, Pedreño argued that to overcome the economic crisis "requires that since the government is involving all economic and business sensitivities" plus CEPES president stressed that "without the Social Economy and the self-employed will be much slower economic recovery ".
