(Madrid, January 16, 2014) -. The Spanish Business Confederation of Social Economy (CEPES) represents in Spain called "Social Business and Social Entrepreneurship", concepts that are part of the social economy and are gaining momentum in the European framework.

According to the rules of the European Commission and Spanish (Law 5/2011), social enterprises are entities that in the case of Spain, was framed in the field of Social Economy. "Indeed," says the president of CEPES, Juan Antonio Pedreño, "The European Commission identifies 'social enterprise' as a part of the Social Economy"

"The Associative Experience of CEPES, a pioneer in Europe, as well as advanced Spanish legislation on Social Economy, motivate the concept born in Europe on social enterprise and social entrepreneurship is framed in Law 5/2011 and therefore organizationally under CEPES umbrella" adds the president of CEPES.

Therefore, in the case of Spain the implementation and adaptation of this new European concept must be consistent and coherent with the objectives and principles set out in Law 5/2011 of the Social Economy.

Various banks and institutions have turned to CEPES to initiate partnerships and collaborations that will disseminate and develop the concept of 'social enterprise' in Spain following the Spanish legislation on Social Economy.
