CEPES calls on the parliamentary groups to support the initiative of CiU on the incorporation of social clauses in Procurement

Before the debate on Tuesday 17 February in the Congress of Deputies, CEPES calls Parliamentary Group for this initiative, which is a historical demand of the Social Economy sector, more ambitious, so integrated into the specifications in addition to the cases referred to, elements of Corporate Social Responsibility.

Madrid (February 14, 2014). The employer's Social Economy (CEPES) calls upon all Parliamentary Groups to support the initiative by CiU on the incorporation of social clauses in Government Procurement.

Juan Antonio Pedreño, President of CEPES, has highlighted thatThis initiative responds to a historical demand for Social Economy Organizations. Pedreño added that this initiative is successful and timely as it pursues companies with high added value for the company have a preferential right of access to Government Procurement.

According to Pedreño, along with other criteria such as the creation and maintenance of employment or permanent employment commitment, elements should be taken into account in the specifications governing public procurement.
