(Madrid, October 15, 2014) .- The Deputy Prime Minister Soraya Saenz de Santamaria she acknowledged the great work done by the Third Sector and Social Economy in building "a better country and a more socially just and economically society."

Sáenz de Santamaría act presided yesterday when the tribute was performed. The vice president stressed the importance of these organizations as "responsible for promoting full participation in society for all citizens who compose it." Has also highlighted the solidarity in the management of theseentities and their ability to create jobs.

At the same ceremony, the President of the ONCE and its Foundation, Miguel Carballeda, Has stated that the homage of Servimedia is a deserved recognition to these institutions working for the improvement of the quality of life of people.

For his part, President of the Platform-a Third Sector entities received the homage of Servimedia-, Luciano Poyato, Speaking on behalf of all the honorees entities, noting that "we have all gotten the Social Economy has assumed greater economic importance in our country and today already represents 10% of GDP." "From now on we have to defend what has been achieved and prevent steps are taken back. We still have many goals to meet", he concluded.

  • Platform of Social Action NGOs, represented by its president, Juan Lara.

 

  • Spanish Committee of Representatives of People with Disabilities (CERMI), represented by its president, Luis Cayo Pérez Bueno.

 

  • Spanish Business Confederation of Social Economy (CEPES), represented by its president, Juan Antonio Pedreño.

 

  • EAPN Spain (Red to Combat Poverty and Social Exclusion in the Spanish State), represented by its president, Carlos Susías.

 

  • Volunteers Platform Spain, represented by Vice President Vincent Baeza.

 

  • Spanish Caritas, Represented by its president, Rafael del Rio.

 

  • ONCE and its Foundation, represented by the CEO of ONCE, Ángel Sánchez.

 

  • Spanish Red Cross, represented by its president, Juan Manuel Suárez del Toro.
