  • More than 16.5 million subscribers (35% of the population) are associated with an entity of the Social Economy

 

(Madrid, October 15, 2014). The Spanish Business Confederation of Social Economy (CEPES) wins the prize for the Promotion of Association membership has awarded the National Federation of Self-Employed (ATA) in the XIII edition of the Autonomous Year Awards today.The award has been awarded to CEPES "in recognition of his work in defending the interests of the Social Economy in Spain."

CEPES President, Juan Antonio Pedreño, ATA has thanked the award because "implies recognition of the great importance of associative work within the Social Economy." In this sense, Pedreño said "CEPES is a reference in Europe and in the world to represent the entire Spanish Social Economy."

"The work done by CEPES has helped generate excitement in many people through employment, both in creation and maintenance. The social economy has destroyed 6.5 points lower than other business models", stressed Pedreño.

Other winners were the government of Cantabria, award for 'Best corporate initiative'; the "undertaking" RTVE award for 'journalistic Labor'; and person of Aureliano Fernandez, one of the industry concerning the province of León, which has received the award for 'Personal career'.
