CEPES notes the importance of the National Reform Programme 2015 provides for the Social Economy

Following an analysis of PNR 2015 approved by the Government, CEPES highlights the importance of Social Economy is contemplated in this document which sets out the priorities and actions of Spain 2015
  • They include proposals to maintain and encourage job creation made by the social economy in recent years

  • The social economy created more than 29,000 companies and 190,000 jobs over the last six years

(Madrid, May 27, 2015) .- The Spanish Business Confederation of Social Economy (CEPES) highlights the commitment to promote the social economy and that this sector, which represents 10% of GDP, occupy, for the first time, a prominently in the National Reform Programme (NRP) in 2015.

"It is important is materialized in both the NRP and the last Council of Ministers, a commitment to the social economy and hence, this economic model that favors the person, boost quality employment, responsibility social, social and territorial cohesion, and companies committed to their territory "said the president of CEPES, Juan Antonio Pedreño.

The NRP includes numerous references to the Social Economy to complete the reform agenda designed by the government for the next four years. A priority is the generation and maintenance of employment, an aspect in which the president of CEPES "stresses that the social economy has created more than 29,000 companies and 190,000 jobs over the last six years. "

Reforms on employment in the Social Economy which includes the NRP are aimed at encouraging self-employment and entrepreneurship, with particular attention to the activities of social economy (cooperatives, labor companies ...) and self-employment. In addition, it is proposed to encourage the hiring of young people and promote the integrationemployment of people with disabilities and at risk of social exclusion.

CEPES, as employers of Social Economy, wants to continue the dialogue with government and political forces to achieve its ultimate fulfillment, as well as other initiatives to include the development of this economic sector.
