Barcelona will host next Friday December 2 the First Mediterranean Forum of Social Economy, an event that will be framed within the actions of the 10th Mediterranean Week of Economic Leaders (MedaWeek) and where Agents cites political, social and business will be given will analyze the contribution Social Economy to the development of the Euro-Mediterranean region

(Madrid, November 27, 2016) .- Barcelona will host next Friday December 2 the I Mediterranean Social Economy Forum, an event that will be framed within the actions of the 10th Mediterranean Week of Economic Leaders (MedaWeek).

The First Mediterranean Forum on the Social Economy, organized by the Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Mediterranean (ASCAME) and the Red-ESMED be held at Casa Llotja de Mar (Passeig Isabel II, 1; 08003 Barcelona) day December 2 from 9:00 to 14:30, will serve to expose and publicize the situation of the Social Economy in the Mediterranean and their different business models, and their contribution to the socioeconomic development of the region.

In this event they will participate, among others, the president of the Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Mediterranean (ASCAME), Mohamed Choucair; President of the Chamber of Chamber of Barcelona, Miquel Vals, representatives of the Spanish and Moroccan governments, as the Minister of Handicrafts and Social Economy and Solidarity of Morocco, Fatima Marwan; and President of the Spanish Business Confederation of Social Economy (CEPES), Juan Antonio Pedreño. In addition, they will participate responsible for the Mediterranean of the European Commission, AECID and representatives of the Social Economy of Algeria, Spain, France, Italy, Morocco and Tunisia.

The Social Economy is present in all the countries of the Union for the Mediterranean. They are companies and organizations of all sizes, from micro to large business leaders operating in all economic sectors. In the nine countries of the Euro-Mediterranean Network of Social Economy (ESMED) (Algeria, Egypt, Spain, France, Italy, Morocco, Portugal, Tunisia and Turkey) there are more than 900,000 companies and organizations that have more than 8 million jobs and more than 100 million associated persons.
