CEPES and the guarantee society Elkargi SGR have signed a collaboration agreement that reveals the value provided by the Elkargi SGR guarantee as an instrument in the financing of social economy companies: access to financing, improvement in conditions of cost and term, increase in risk limits with banking entities, credibility to business projects, mainly.

• The collaboration agreement signed between the two entities informs the 26 member members of CEPES and its more than 43,000 associated companies of the improvement of the financing conditions that are achieved with the guarantee.

• Elkargi SGR is the only reciprocal guarantee company at the state level with a specialization and specific direction in Social Economy.

Madrid, February 21, 2018. - The Spanish Business Confederation of the Social Economy (CEPES) and the guarantee society Elkargi SGR have signed a collaboration agreement that makes known the value provided by the Elkargi SGR endorsement as an instrument in the financing of companies: access to financing, improvement in cost and term conditions, increase in risk limits with banking entities, credibility to business projects, mainly.

The president of CEPES, Juan Antonio Pedreño , and the general director of the reciprocal guarantee society Elkargi SGR, Pío Aguirre , have been responsible for signing this agreement.

With 37 years of experience and close to 15,300 associated companies, Elkargi SGR has been supporting the Social Economy companies in their historical territory: Basque Country, Navarre, Aragon, La Rioja, Cantabria with the collaboration of entities in this field (Konfekoop, Erkide, FCAE, ASLE, ANEL,) as well as through collaboration agreements with the Madrid City Council and in Catalonia with the partners of Fundació Seira and Coop57, among others.

Likewise, it is working with public and other regional SGR support to reach more territories with which to serve the more than 43,000 companies represented by the 26 CEPES partners.

For Juan Antonio Pedreño, "it is essential to show the companies the different financing channels they have at present, which are so necessary for the development of their activity or for the creation of new companies and jobs".

"The lack of funding often makes it difficult for companies to have knowledge of all these mechanisms for accessing resources. Hence the importance of generating lines of collaboration between financial agents such as Elkargi SGR and the Social Economy, "said Pedreño.

For his part, Pío Aguirre has ensured that "this collaboration enables companies to know financial instruments, through endorsement, which gives them long-term stability and growth".

He adds that "the key to the financing of any business project is the trust and the endorsement of Elkargi SGR reinforces this concept".
