The Board of Directors of the Spanish Business Confederation of Social Economy, CEPES has agreed at its meeting held yesterday to incorporate the Association of Social Economy of Aragon (CEPES Aragon) as a full partner. Through nine partner organizations, it represents the interests of 625 companies and employs more than 20,000 people. More than 400,000 Aragonese is linked to companies and entities of the Social Economy

• One in three Aragonese is linked to companies and entities of the Social Economy.

 

• Cepes-Aragón represents the entities of the Social Economy present in this community: cooperatives, labor companies, insertion companies, Special Employment Centers, associations of the disability sector and entities of the Third Sector.

 

Madrid, July 18, 2018. The Board of Directors of the Spanish Business Confederation of the Social Economy, CEPES has agreed at its meeting held yesterday to incorporate the Association of Social Economy of Aragon (CEPES Aragon) as full partner law.

CEPES ARAGÓN is the entity representative of the whole of the Aragonese Social Economy. Through nine partner organizations, it represents the interests of 625 companies and employs more than 20,000 people. In addition, more than 400,000 Aragonese, that is, one in three Aragonese, is linked to companies and entities of the Social Economy.

CEPES-Aragón aims to carry out the work of social dialogue of the Social Economy in this community, as well as giving visibility to the Aragonese entities that are part of this sector (cooperatives, labor companies, mutual societies, insertion companies, Special Centers of Employment, associations of the disability sector and foundations).

The president of CEPES Aragón, Felipe Gómez de Valenzuela , has indicated that "belonging to the Spanish Business Confederation of Social Economy, reinforces both institutions in their approaches and objectives and will undoubtedly contribute to an improvement of the Social Economy in Aragon" .

For his part, the president of the Spanish Business Confederation of the Social Economy (CEPES), Juan Antonio Pedreño , stressed that the Aragonese Social Economy is part of a top-level socioeconomic reality in Spain, which covers more than 43,300 companies that they generate 10% of the state GDP and 12.5% ​​of the employment in the whole country.

In addition, Pedreño has indicated that "the incorporation of CEPES Aragón is very important to give visibility and recognition to the Aragonese Social Economy, a benchmark for social innovation and job creation, while its good practices serve as an example to create similar entities in other autonomous regions ".
