Madrid, May 6, 2019 .- The Spanish Business Confederation of the Social Economy (CEPES) has joined the campaign that the Platform of the Third Sector (PTS) develops to disclose the X for social purposes of the Corporation Tax , a As of this year, it will allow companies to allocate 0.7% of the full quota that they declare to finance social projects, according to the General State Budget Law of 2018.
This has been initialed in a meeting held between the two entities, within the collaboration agreement that CEPES and the PTS have signed in order to implement joint actions and before the opening, on July 1, of the tax declaration deadline. Both organizations share values and place the person at the center of their activity.
CEPES will disclose the agreement between the companies of the Social Economy, which may adhere to by checking box 00073 (model 200) or 069 (model 220). They will be able to do it in the section of 'other characters - social purposes', and thus contribute, with the Tax of Societies, to improve and strengthen the society to make it more just, inclusive and equal. Those interested can mark this option voluntarily and will not involve any additional costs for the company.
During the meeting, the president of the PTS, Luciano Poyato , said that "the Third Sector and CEPES share objectives and lines of work, and with this agreement they join in an exercise of responsibility that will surely have good results". He also stressed the need to promote the values of solidarity, social cohesion and inclusion, as essential factors of public utility, necessary when setting new horizons, in which people and the social component must acquire a new role.
For its part, the president of CEPES, Juan Antonio Pedreño , has indicated that "if something characterizes the companies of the Social Economy are their values, which are mainly focused on locating the person in the center, in their commitment to the territories , to generate stable and quality employment, not to relocate, to insert groups with insertion difficulties and, above all, to show that it is possible to combine economic and social profitability ". "Therefore," he added, "we trust that most Social Economy companies support the X for social purposes of the Corporation Tax."
On Platform of the Third Sector
Founded in January 2012 by seven of the most representative organizations in the field of social issues in Spain (PVE, POAS, EAPN, CERMI, Red Cross, Cáritas and ONCE), the Platform has been subsequently joined by the NGO Coordinator of Spain and the Childhood Platform. At the moment, it is integrated by twenty organizations by means of which it represents to near 30,000 organizations of the social field.
