The Spanish Union of Cooperative Education (UECo.E.), was established as the sole representative body statewide cooperative schools, legally in 1989.
UECo.E. born since its establishment with a clear vocation to represent all possible forums to cooperative teaching, to maintain good relations with business organizations and trade union education sector, and with an inescapable desire to streamline the movement cooperative education.
Based companies that are, Cooperative Education and Educational Centers of Social Economy, have a marked social component, as evidenced by the democratic control of decisions by all partners and workers.
These companies are grouped geographically into Regional Federations or Unions, all associated with the Union. The constituent companies, cooperatives, education and schools of Social Economy, schools are seen as permanent laboratories for reflection and practice of education open, democratic, pluralistic and teach: preschool, primary and secondary schools, high school, vocational training vocational training, special education, environmental education, leisure and free, professional induction programs, languages, etc..
