With the recognition of Toledo as European Capital of Social Economy in 2020, the CONFEDERATION OF ASSOCIATIONS OF SOCIAL ECONOMY COMPANIES OF CASTILLA-LA MANCHA (economíasocial.clm) was formally constituted, an organisation whose main objective is to represent and defend the companies and associations that make up the large social economy family of this region and that are the driving force and key element for the socio-economic development of the region.
It is made up of six social economy organisations in the region, namely: Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias Castilla-La Mancha, Asociación de Centros Especiales de Empleo de Iniciativa Social de Castilla-La Mancha (FEACEM CLM), Consejo Territorial de CLM de la ONCE, Unión de Cooperativas de Enseñanza de Castilla-La Mancha (UCEC-M), Asociación de Empresas de Inserción de Castilla-La Mancha (ASEIRCAM) and Unión de Cooperativas de Trabajo Asociado (ClamCoop). Currently, Red de Economía Alternativa y Solidaria de Castilla la Mancha (REAS CLM) and the Unión de Cooperativas de Transporte de Castilla la Mancha (Fecomancha) are also members.
All of them represent 1,000 social economy enterprises and organisations in the region, have more than 174,000 members, employ more than 21,500 workers, 3,500 of whom are people with disabilities, and have a combined turnover of more than 2,846 million euros.
