The Confederation of Cooperatives of Catalonia (CoopCat) is a business organization and governing body of representation and dialogue Catalan cooperativism. The strategic lines of action of the CoopCat are defined based on complementarity and cooperation with the actions of the member federations, the momentum model of cooperativism through the dissemination of its values and the generation of related projects, recognition of the social economy and social economic agent and the constructionng to project an image cooperatives as sustainable economic and social model; according to the cooperative principles of the International Cooperative Alliance.
CoopCat, Founded in 1984, brings together the six federations of existing cooperatives in Catalonia: agricultural, consumers and users, education, housing, services and associated work.
