La Confederación Empresarial Española de Economía Social (CEPES), constituted in 1992, is a state-wide business organization that represents the Social Economy in Spain and is a representative and reference point for its concerns and proposals. CEPES, as an umbrella organization for the various economic activities existing under the concept of the Social Economy, is made up of 32 organizations. All of them are state or autonomic confederations and specific business groups, representing the interests of Cooperatives, Labor Societies, Mutual Societies, Insertion Companies, Special Employment Centers, Fishermens Guilds and Associations of the Disability Sector, with more than 200 support structures at autonomic level.
